WeNeedAI compares AI tools and publishes what the comparison actually measured. No sponsored rankings, no vendor briefings turned into verdicts.
Why this site exists
Most AI tool round-ups are assembled from marketing pages. They repeat feature lists nobody verified, quote pricing that changed two releases ago, and rank tools in an order that happens to match the affiliate payouts. That is not useful when you are about to put a tool in your workflow and pay for it every month.
So the rule here is simple: nothing gets a verdict unless we ran it. Same task across every tool in the comparison, the method written out so you can disagree with it, and the numbers published alongside the conclusion.
Who writes here
Owen Marsh runs the tests and writes the comparisons. He spent his working life in backend engineering before moving to full-time tool testing, which mostly means he is comfortable reading a pricing page for the trap rather than the headline number.
How this site pays for itself
Some links to the tools we cover are affiliate links. If you sign up through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never buys a position in a ranking, and we pay for the accounts we review. The full detail is on the affiliate disclosure page.
Corrections
Pricing changes, models get updated, and a verdict from three months ago can quietly become wrong. If you spot something inaccurate, write to us and we will fix it and say what changed.
